A Simple Card for Christmas!

Hey Krafty friends, this card was made using a recent purchase from Pinkfresh Studio’s clearance sale they had going on with Christmas products from last year. It was an awesome sale! It may still be going on. Or you can go to my “Places I Shop” page and purchase from Scrapbook.com or A Cherry on Top.

Step 1: Stenciling to make my background

I grabbed a card base I already had cut out and scored from some 110 lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and placed it in my large Memory Misti. I then used Pinkfresh Studio’s Holiday Botanical Background stencil. It’s a multi layered stencil with a different image on each stencil. With each leaf layer (there were 3) I used a different color green ink from Catherine Pooler inks and a blending brush. For the berry stencil I used a red Catherine Pooler ink.

Step 2: Adding a sentiment

For the sentiment, I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Thrill of Hope stamp and die set. I grabbed a piece of white cardstock that I had on hand and stamped Happy Holidays in black Momento ink. Then I used the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment. Next, I cut out a piece of red glitter cardstock I had in my stash, using a hexagon shaped die I had in my collection.

Step 3: Putting it all together

So, putting it all together was pretty simple. I glued my die cut sentiment on the red glitter cardstock I had cut out. Lastly, I adhered that piece with the sentiment onto my card base, in the center of the background using some foam tape for dimension!

So, there it is! The step-by-step process for this card.  I think this card came out pretty and I will probably remake it, but maybe in some different colors for the stenciled backgrounds. This would be a pretty simple card to mass produce also…maybe get an assembly line going, especially if you have multi stamping platforms. I hope you guys like is as well, and that it gives you some inspiration.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how I made this card or the supplies I used.

Your Krafty Friend,

Tiffani
