Hey Krafty friends, this was my second September entry using a different stamp set of my many Altenew leaf stamps and dies!  I wanted to do something totally different than my first card to maybe increase my chance of winning the challenge?

Step 1:  Creating the main background panel with stamping, heat embossing and watercolors.

I used one of my precut A2 (4 1/4 by 5 1/2) sized watercolor paper panels from Tonic Studios and stamped with VersaMark ink, the Leaf Canopy stamp set from Altenew.  Then I added Brutus Monroe’s embossing powder in Gilded and heat set with my heat gun.  Next, I took a piece of acetate and put some ink on it with my Altenew ink cubes in the colors Coral Berry and Frosted Pink and sprayed with some water to water it down in order to ink smoosh the color on to my stamped image.  I kept doing the ink smooshing until I was satisfied with the placement and intensity of the colors on the leaf image.  Then I dried the panel with my low setting heat gun.

Step 2:  Finishing the design and adding a sentiment

After the panel was dry, I applied a strip of green glitter washi tape from my stash to the left side of the watercolor paper.  Next, I used the YOU die cut from Altenew’s Mega Greetings 2 die set and cut it out once on matte gold cardstock from Tonic Studios and then from white cardstock and glued them layered together with the white die cut behind the gold offset some for a shadow affect.  For the other part of my sentiment, I heat embossed JUST FOR from Altenew’s Mega Greetings 3 stamp set on velum using VersaMark and Brutus Monroe’s Gilded embossing powder.  Then cut it out in a strip and ran it through my mini Xyron to add glue to the back but without the glue messing up the see-through look of the vellum.

Step 3:  Putting all the elements together

On this card I used about an A7 sized white card base.  I cut out a piece of pink cardstock about 1/8th bigger than my watercolor panel to matt the panel on and then glued them together.  Then I stuck down that panel onto my card base.  Next, I added my YOU die cut to my panel using foam squares for some dimension.  Then I stuck my JUST FOR sentiment strip above the die cut YOU.  Then I called this card complete!

This was the step-by-step process for my card!  I love how it came out.  I hope you guys love it too and that it gives you some inspiration.  Let me know which of the two cards I created for the September Altenew Inspiration Challenge you like the best.  And feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how I made this card or the supplies I used.

Your Krafty Friend,

Tiffani
