Create a Slimline Z-Fold Easter Card
Hey crafty friends! Would you like to create a cute and unique Easter card to give to a loved one this Easter? If so, I have a super cute SVG file to make a fun slimline Z-Fold Happy Easter card!
The pieces of this card are cut from a digital file I designed, available in my Etsy Shop or the Silhouette Design Store. You can use this file with your electronic cutting machine to cut out all the pieces.
Cutting Out the Pieces
Hey crafty friends, it's Tiffani from A Krafting Alley. Would you like to create a cute and unique Easter card to give to a loved one this Easter? If so, I have a super cute SVG file to make a fun slimline Z-Fold Happy Easter card! All card stock used came from CutCardStock.com.
Card Base: CutCardStock Cougar White 80 lb Cover Cardstock
Happy Easter Sentiment:
Easter Egg:
Flowers:
Inside Written Sentiment: pen used by your electronic cutting machine
Putting It Together
Layer Your Pieces
Gather your bunny, flower, and egg pieces and layer them together before you start placing them on your card base.
For the bunny: Layer the pink portion with foam tape on top of the white bunny for added dimension. Then add more foam tape to the back of the white portion.
For “Easter”: Simply glue it on top of the blue outline piece.
For the Easter egg: Glue the blue portion on top of the pink portion. Then glue them on top of the white cut out. Next add foam tape to the back for dimension.
For the flowers: Glue the top portion onto the bottom portion so that the center color shows through. Then add foam tape to the back for dimension.
Fold and Place Elements
Fold your card along the pre-scored lines to see where to correctly place your elements.
Glue/tape down the egg, small blue flower, and the yellow flower on the inside of the card base above the sentiment.
Then glue down the “Happy” along with the bigger blue flower on the middle panel of the card base.
Lastly, glue/tape down your bunny and “Easter” word on to the front panel of the card base.
Make sure that any pieces with an outline on your card base are placed slightly below the outline to create an outline effect. (This applies to the bunny, “Happy,” the Easter egg, and the small blue flower.)
Final Touches
Once all your pieces are placed, you have a cute and unique slimline Z-Fold Easter card! You can add embellishments if you like.
Additionally you can stamp the back of your card with a personalized stamp, like I did with my “A Krafting Alley by Tiffany Hawkins” stamp.
Also, there's space under the sentiment to write your own personal message!
Don’t like the sentiment on the inside or don’t have a pen for your electronic cutting machine? No Problem!
If you don’t have an electronic cutting machine that has a pen or you just don’t want to use the sentiment that came with the card file, you can still make this card! Simply skip/delete the step of writing the sentiment with the pen when cutting out your card and just hand write what you like on the inside instead of using the machine to do it for you.
I think this card turned out cute! And it’s unique and fun to make. You can also find a quick tutorial on my YouTube channel showing how to put together this adorable Z-Fold card. I hope you love the design and give it a try—if you make one, let me know how it turns out!
